I'm sorry to tell you this, but you may be destroying your perfume! Many people can't imagine, but small attitudes can influence - a lot - the quality and even the length that the scent lasts in the skin. Don't panic! Today I'll tell you what you can't do with your perfume.
1. Keep it in the bathroom
I know they look cute on the shelves, but you should go immediately to you bathroom and take all of your fragrances out of there! As they involve a combination of chemical components, the temperature variations caused by the hot baths gradually oxidize the perfumes, altering their original aromas.
2. Leave it without a cap
It seems harmless to leave your perfume uncovered, but this allows the liquid to get in contact with the air which leads to oxidation. It won't take too long for the color to change and the scent to look very different.
3. Olfactory fatigue
Theoretically, it's not your fault. Our sense of smell can get used to the perfume and we have the impression that it has disappeared (blame it on your brain!). But it's still there, firm and strong. And then you, unsuspecting, spray it desperately on your skin ! Result? That charming perfume turns into an atomic bomb so strong and cloying. To avoid this risk, ask someone else if they can still smell your perfume.
